After the Renaissance Fair a rest in Lumberton and Air bnb with a porch and a great yard looking down on the river. Then to Gulf Shores to see Jan and Denis. Jan’s daughter Stephany cooked us dinner when I got there. Day trips to Fairhope and the beach.
Then “home” to pick up Mary in Stillwater and a visit with Clella.
Then North through Kansas to Nebraska.

Very realistic carrier flight deck operations LCDR (Ret) Arthur V. Olsen Top gun Maverick was set on North Island Naval Air Station in Coronado. The beach scenes were filmed there. The I-Bar was recreated in the beach over on the base. The real version is in BOQ on North Island a few blocks from the beach.
